Oyo 2023: I will support Ajimobi's policies - Adelabu

The Accord gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 general election in Oyo State, Adebayo Adelabu, has said his intention is to support the policies of the late former governor of the state. Abiola Ajimobi.

Adelabu made the revelation last weekend while speaking at a town hall meeting organized by a radio station in Ibadan, which was monitored by DAILY POST.

DAILY POST recalls that Ajimobi, who died in 2020, served as state governor between 2011 and 2019.

The former Deputy Governor (Operations) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), however, revealed that he intends to support all good policies of Ajimobi.

He said it was necessary to get the state back on track.

Adelabu, while continuing to speak, insisted that the state deserved to have an accountable and responsive ruler.

He explained that the state needs a ruler who has the capacity and ability to lead the state properly.

He added that environmental sanitation was one of the main areas needing urgent attention in the state.

He explained that it was necessary to reintroduce sanitary inspectors, weekly and monthly environmental sanitation exercises in state markets in order to curb the spread of diseases.

"I want to assure you that all the good policies of the previous government under the administration of the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi will continue.

“It is important to get the state back on track and ensure rapid development in all sectors across the state.”
