The Coordinator of the Contact and Mobilization Committee of the Presidential Campaign Committee of Tinubu/Shettima, Ekiti State, Bamidele Faparusi, said that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labor Party (LP) were saddened by the result of the presidential election. due to their unsuccessful attempt to compromise the survey.

Bamidele, in a statement released to Ado-Ekiti on Friday, praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the smooth conduct of the poll, noting that the February 25 election was one of the most credible and the freest in the country.

The former member of the House of Representatives described the PDP and the LP as sore losers, adding that their attempts to discredit the poll with international communities would be rebuffed.

He said, “I would like to congratulate INEC on the success of the Presidential and National Assembly elections. We are not aware of various maneuvers by the PDP and the Labor Party to compromise the election results through cloned INEC servers.

“The international communities and civil society organizations must not be deceived and misled by false reports discrediting the outcome of one of the freest and fairest elections this country has ever held these lately.

"If you look at the results chart, you will realize that the outcome of this presidential election is a true reflection of the will of Nigerians. The Nigerian people have said very loudly that their choice is Bola Tinubu.

"This is politics and not a game of wishes, so PDP and LP shouldn't think they can impose their wish on the country. If wishes were horses, beggars would ride horses."< /p>

Faparusi urged the LP and PDP to consolidate the electoral success recorded in the poll to build a more formidable opposition needed to ensure good governance of the APC "rather than chasing shadows and displaying a vain despair.”

He pointed out that "in most polling stations in Ekiti State, LP does not have a poll worker let alone mobilizers, the votes recorded by LP are from the student environs of Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, and that's understandable.

"So I was surprised when LP and PDP disputed the result of our election in Ekiti. If we were to hold the election again 100 times, the result would only get worse for them."

He urged the President-elect “not to slacken in his efforts to reach out to other candidates who ran for office with him in order to foster national unity and reconciliation among Nigerians.”
