PDP promotes plot to depose National President Abdullahi Adamu – APC
The All Progressives Congress (APC) said the opposition was fueling reports of a plot to impeach national president, Abdullahi Adamu.
National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka issued a rebuttal on Wednesday.
Morka said the claims are based on the imagination of sponsors "seemingly pissed off by Adamu's remarkable accomplishments" since he took office.
The spokesperson noted that the party and leaders are focused on building a strong election campaign and will not be distracted by annoying tweets from idle speculators.
He said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was welcome to continue dissipating its energies on insinuations.
Morka accused the PDP of "pursuing phantom plots within APC rather than focusing on fixing its broken and acrimonious home".
The party added that the National Working Committee is united under Adamu's leadership "with a singular commitment to win the next general election".
