Peter Billingsley grew up 40 years later as Ralphie in 'A Christmas Story' sequel trailer

HBO Max gave a preview Christmas present by airing the trailer for A Christmas Story Christmas on November 1st. The film is a sequel to the 1983 holiday classic A Christmas Story and features the return of 51-year-old Peter Billingsley as an adult Ralphie, who is now married with two children. They return to his old home on Cleveland Street and reunite with his mother after the death of his father, The Old Man.

"Oh, life goes fast," Ralphie says in a voiceover at the start of the trailer, as we see the first glimpse of Ralphie 40 years later. “One day you are playing can with kids named Flick and Schwartz. And the next thing you know you're a certified adult."

Ralpie's mom wants the Parker family to have a "wonderful Christmas" in honor of her late husband, so Ralphie tries to give his children the same joyous Christmas experience he had as a child, he takes them to see Santa Claus, makes them put ornaments on a tree and lets them build a snowman, but it doesn't all pan out. not as expected.

Ralphie also reunites with old friends, including Flick and Schwartz, and his childhood bully, Scut. Schwartz is a triple dog who dared to slide down a massive hill - a perfect callback to the original movie! Ralphie's biggest test is coming to terms with his father's death.
