Political parties, candidates responsible for peaceful general elections

Former Speaker of the All Nigerian American Congress (ANAC), Chief Amina Temitope Ajayi, has warned of violence in the upcoming general elections. She urged the various political parties, their candidates and their supporters to avoid violence and electoral fraud.

Ajayi, who spoke after his installation as Iya Adini of JAMSAN in Lagos, called for religious harmony. She instructed the youths to avoid being used as thugs by the political class, adding that they should discharge their civic and electoral responsibilities in accordance with the law.

Ajayi also urged women to unite and work for their political growth. She pointed out that women have played an important role in national development and nation building, so they should not downplay their importance in national growth.

The former head of ANAC urged women to actively participate in the political process. His words: “I am so happy. I am so blessed. It is not the making of a human being. It comes from the divine. It is from Allah Almighty."

It comes from Almighty God. It shows that we are all one. This shows that religion should not separate us. I plead for national unity. Religion should unite us. We should pray together. A nation that prays together stays together. This is why they said "the cry of the faithful is worth much". Faithful are those who worship God.

“I am against religious violence. I am a mother. It makes me cry. Why should they kill my people under the pretext of religion? Why? religion. We must change our orientation. Nigerians, we are all one.

“Everyone has the right to have their own political candidates. There is no do or die. But I know that Almighty God will give us the next candidate. There is no democracy without opposition. In America, we have three parties: Democrats, Republicans and the Green Party. So there's not much to have the Obidients, Atikulates, Batifieds, Kwaknwanso and Sowores."
