This was followed by a drink Morous reception held in the large and highly decorated H&C Event Center in Zone 1.

In a seamless mix of navy, sky blue, ash and white outfits, shivers and frilly cheers enveloped the atmosphere as the groom's family from Plateau State and the bride's family from Cross River were ushered into the arena with melodious traditional songs.

On August 27, the couple celebrated their traditional wedding in the bride's hometown of Obudu, Cross River State, where they had the blessings of both parents and were legally married.

Mr. Kaduna, an economics graduate from the University of Jos (UNIJOS), said he met his wife in 2016 while he was doing his one-year compulsory national service while camping in Edo State. Afterwards, the lovebirds continued to grow closer while getting to know each other more deeply.

“We met at NYSC Camp, Okada, Edo State. It was in 2016. We talked to each other because we found out that we were both going to UNIJOS. We remained friends for a while, but I commented on her beautiful photos on Instagram and WhatsApp. I think I was using the style to toast her when I realized the 'woman material' was there," an elated Mr. Kaduna told PREMIUM TIMES.

He described his marriage to his beloved as bringing "a whole new feeling" and that anyone around him will know things are changing .

“I am happy and ready to learn how to be a better husband and a better man,” he added.

Mr. Kaduna said it's hard to find good women and men these days, but he was convinced to go ahead with the union because his wife ticked the boxes of what he admires in a good woman.

“She loves God, she has family values, she is honest and a few other qualities made me realize that we can work together,” he said.
