Protesting truckers block Sokoto-Zamfara border

On Tuesday, truckers blocked the border town of Tureta between Sokoto and Zamfara states, causing severe traffic jams along the axis.

DAILY POST has learned that the drivers were protesting a misunderstanding between them and military personnel on duty along the highway.

Most passengers were forced to travel about 4 kilometers to cross the rally, as hundreds of cars, trucks and other heavy vehicles were seen parked motionless.

The blockade was carried out in the presence of soldiers and other security agents who were trying to stop the situation.

Although military personnel and security officers did not torture anyone during the blockade, they were working to stop the situation.
