Rush to leave Nigeria misplaced priority – Rights lawyer

A human rights lawyer, Collins Aigbogun, has described the rush of Nigerians to leave the country as a misplaced priority.

Aigbogun noted that God created Nigerians with "the adaptability to survive any challenge or problem thrown at them".

He said this on Saturday at the SMART conference organized by Four Square Gospel Church, Ikeja Zonal Youth Ministry.

The jurist who spoke about being reborn, emphasized that there is a need to awaken the potentials of Nigerians in order to help realize the purpose of being created in the country.

He also stressed that the government must meet basic needs that would help educate the younger generation who can lift the country from its current state.

He said, "There is a need to awaken the potential of our young people, making them realize that they were not created by mistake and that the fact that they reside in Nigeria does not is not an accident.< /p>

"It is necessary for us to understand that wherever we find ourselves there is a purpose for it and we must necessarily start looking for these reasons and implement the potentials that God has prevented in us in order to actualize the purpose of our creation.

"For me, people fleeing the country is a misplaced priority. I used to tell people that it is foolish that a man who has millions of naira on his account goes to a country where the citizens of those countries only have 10,000 pounds in their account.

"People are leaving this country because they didn't want to be locked into a backward system as opposed to an advanced society.

"Government must understand that governance is continuous and needs to meet basic needs like infrastructure that can help educate our youth."

Ikeja Four Square Zone Youth President Timothy Taiwo said the conference was aimed at educating young members on the four basics of life that weren't really discussed at the school. church.

He added, "The reason it comes up is that most of these things don't get said often in church. Faith, career, relationships, and finances are the four key things we are looking for and these are not really issues discussed in the church.

“We try to educate young people about their future and bring in people who have gone before them so they can help them tell their stories and how they can also achieve their dreams. ”
