Sara Battaglia RTW Spring 2024

When Sara Battaglia attended the wedding of her friend Aquazzura designer Edgardo Osorio in Noto in early June, she pulled off a showy satin strapless dress with a giant bow on the front.

The standout piece won a few fans among friends and social media followers, convincing the designer to include it in its spring collection, the icing on the cake of a line focused on carefree femininity.

Battaglia was in the mood for love and a little romance. This echoed in the rich, crisp fabrics, including the textured brocade-imitating jacquard she used for flared pants and bandeau tops or boxy short-sleeved shirts and loose skirts.

The fluffy, airy shirt dresses, some ruffled, some A-lined and voluminous, mix nicely with other bodycon pieces, including a midi dress with dropped shoulders and high slits, as well as bright blue moire pencil skirts paired with boxy shirts.

"It's about offering flattering silhouettes for women's everyday life, but with a extra touch of cuteness and romance,” Battaglia said.

Cue the sky blue 3D gingham patterns on an easy summer dress, the eyelet embroidery adorning a skirt summer midi and shirt set, the latter with ruffles along the arms, as well as 3D floral applications on the chic opening look.
