Serie A is tough - Super Eagles striker admits Dessers

Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers has admitted he has yet to find his feet in the Italian top flight.

Dessers joined Serie A side Cremonese from Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk this summer.

The striker has started all six of Cremonese's league games this season, but he is yet to open his goal account for his new club.

“The (Italian) championship is difficult, more difficult than the Dutch and Belgian championships. But I knew it,” Dessers told Gazetto Dello Sport.

"Even for me, arriving at a newly promoted club from a club used to fighting for the title, it will not be easy."

Dessers was one of the top scorers in the UEFA Europa Conference League last season with 10 goals.

He has huge experience having also played in the Netherlands.

The striker believes the experience will help him overcome the goalscoring shortage.

"I haven't scored yet, but I have passed near Roma and with Sassuolo," he continued.

"The year I was the Netherlands' top scorer, I only scored one goal in the first six games.

"Party? I did it several times last season with Feyenoord and a few times with Genk in July."
