A teenage snowboarder sent four people to hospital last week when he fell on a downhill and rammed oncoming skiers using a tug before fleeing the scene.
The Hungarian thrill seeker, 18 years old, was riding the Rosenkranz lift at the Austrian ski resort of Kreischberg on Wednesday when the bar used to pull riders up the slope slipped between his legs.
At first, the unidentified snowboarder managed to grab the bar with his hands to keep it from falling, but as the lift reached its steepest point, the teenager couldn't hold on any longer. He slid off the lift and started back down the slope.
He narrowly avoided hitting another snowboarder who was coming up behind him but, unable to slow down, it quickly picked up speed and sped towards horrified skiers who couldn't avoid the choppy boundary rushing towards them.
