French fashion house Dior has returned to Scotland for its first show in the country in almost seven decades.

Dior took inspiration from Scottish history for the show in the gardens of Drummond Castle near Crieff in Perthshire, attended by celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence, Rosamund Pike and Anya Taylor-Joy. watched.

The last time the brand held a show in Scotland was in 1955, when founder Christian Dior staged two fashion shows - one at the Gleneagles Hotel in Auchterarder, and the other at the Central Hotel in Glasgow.

The Cruise 2025 event took place on Monday evening in the "Versailles of Scotland", which served as the setting for the French palace gardens in the television series Outlander.

Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri , taking inspiration from the venue and a nod to the Auld Alliance between the Scots and the French opened the show with tartan outfits and ended with a parade of bagpipes.

She had worked with Scottish fabric manufacturers including Harris Tweed and Johnstons of Elgin, and used Samantha McCoach of Le Kilt to develop her kilts at designer pockets.
