Suicoke partners with Vibram on repair program

Suicoke's collaboration frenzy now focuses on process rather than design - and in particular on giving a second life to worn -Sandals.

The hip Japanese shoe brand has expanded its tie with sole manufacturer Vibram for the "Repair If You Care" Program launched in January, where customers can have their worn-out Suicoke styles - chunky slides and hiking sandals, for example - repaired using Vibram's signature rubber soles.

The program will debut at the Vibram Academy workshops in Paris; London; Vienna, Austria; and Athens, Greece, but will later expand to involve cobblers and cobblers who are already sole manufacturer partners in the United States, Europe and Japan.

"We are thrilled to share this appreciation for giving a second life to the shoes we wear with our long - friends and long-term partners at Vibram," said Suicoke Global Brand Manager, Enrico Pasi. Suicoke was among the first footwear companies to adopt Vibram soles and features them regularly in some of its key styles. It also released a co-branded version of Vibram's signature five-finger shoes.

Suicoke's previous co-branded drop-centric collaborations included Takahiromiyashita The Soloist, Bape, Moncler, Lanvin and Missoni, among others.
