The King's Singers say Christian college scrapped sex concert

A Grammy-winning a cappella group says a Christian college in Florida abruptly canceled a performance. on the sexuality of some of its members.

The King's Singers, founded in Cambridge, UK, said it had only had two-hour notice of Pensacola Christian College's (PCC) decision to end the concert last Saturday.

PCC said an artist "maintained a style of life that contradicts the scriptures".

The college stood up for its "sincere beliefs".

"The college may not knowingly give implied or direct endorsement of anything that violates Holy Scripture, the foundation of our sincere beliefs," the school said in a statement.

"CPC canceled a concert with The King's Singers after learning that one of the performers openly maintained a lifestyle that contradicts Scripture."

In a statement posted to social media on Monday, The King's Singers said the incident was the first time a performance was canceled at short notice in its 55-year history.
