Liverpool John Lennon Airport has been rated the UK's best airport – with travelers describing their airport experience as 'first class'.< /p>

London City Airport is ranked second place, while Southampton Airport is in third place. Manchester Airport's Terminal 3, meanwhile, sits at the bottom of the rankings - the same position it held last year.

The ranking was produced by a new survey. By which? which asked nearly 4,000 travelers to rate their experiences at 24 UK airports and terminals over the past year. Respondents ranked airports based on eleven categories, including seating, staff, restrooms, check-in queues, baggage drop-off, passport control and security.

A customer's score was then calculated based on a combination of travelers' overall satisfaction and their propensity to recommend the airport. On top of that, the Consumer Champion asked travelers to report how long they spent waiting in line at security.
