Tinubu, Shettima and Adamu will meet APC elected officials on Monday

President-elect Bola Tinubu and All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu will meet with elected members of the party in the National Assembly on Monday.

According to a statement released Saturday by the party's National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore, Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima will attend the meeting.

The meeting will take place in the State House Banquet Hall and all legislators have been asked to arrive at the venue by noon.

The party ordered all elected lawmakers to report to the venue with their return certificates.

"This is to inform all elected senators and members of the House of Representatives-elect of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that they are invited to a parliament with the national leadership of the party.< /p>

“The meeting to be attended by the President-Elect and Vice-President-Elect will be held at the State House Banquet Hall, Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.

"Senators/House of Elected Representatives must come to the meeting with their certificates of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and must come alone," the statement read.

Although the agenda for the meeting was not stated in the invitation, it was agreed that it will focus on the election of the leadership of the 10th Senate and House of Representatives, which will be inaugurated in June.

The new members were elected on February 25.

Based on the results reported so far by the CENI, the APC has a majority in both chambers.

In the House of Representatives, the APC has so far won 162 of the declared 325 seats. The party also won a majority in the Senate with 57 seats while the PDP won 29 seats.

Elections for some seats in both chambers have not been concluded while the results of others have not been announced for certain reasons.
