Tinubu victory secures a prosperous Nigeria – Owoeye

Osun State Assembly Speaker Timothy Owoeye congratulated President-elect Bola Tinubu on his victory in the February 25 presidential election.

The President also hinted that with Tinubu's victory, Nigerian citizens will prosper in their businesses and careers thanks to the President-elect's promise that there will be a human face to his government.

Owoeye believed that Nigerians will live abundantly with the assurance that the President-elect will surround himself with people who will boost the economy for better Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

In a statement by his media assistant, Kunle Alabi, on Wednesday, Owoeye described the victory as well deserved given that now is the time to bring forth a better and prosperous Nigeria.

He also posited that the majority of voters did well in voting for the best man for the post that will give Nigeria new hope for a better country.

He called on Tinubu to focus on unifying the country and leading Nigeria together through a peaceful transition.

According to him, "This is not the best time for the country, the president-elect should now consider how to get the nation back on track during or before his 100 days in office."

Owoeye, however, called on people to be peaceful and patriotic.

"In every contest there will be a winner, there should be no winner, no victory, the stability of the country must be paramount in the mindset of Nigerians regardless of their political orientation .

“I have no doubt that the president-elect will perform very well, knowing that he is a thoroughbred politician who understands what the people need. He knows the base and identifies with the masses. Tinubu understands what people want and I can assure you that it won't take him long to get down to business.
