Transfer: Lewandowski confesses interest in Messi's return to Barcelona
Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski admitted playing alongside Argentina captain Lionel Messi would be a 'dream' before he hung up his boots.
Lewandowski, however, admitted that it was not up to him whether Messi would return to Barcelona in the near future.
Messi has been linked with a return to Barcelona in recent weeks, although club president Joan Laporta admitted that would not be realistic.
Asked about Mesis' potential return to Barcelona, Lewandowski told El Mundo Deportivo: "It's not for me to decide.
Of course we see that now he plays more like a 'playmaker', maybe he scores less goals and gives more assists to his teammates, even though he keeps scoring them.
"But compared to other times, he is now the footballer any striker would dream of playing alongside."
