Twitter will relaunch the blue verification mark

Elon Musk has announced the relaunch of Twitter's $8 monthly fee blue verification mark.

According to the new owner of the company, the relaunch will take place on November 29. The announcement comes days after the company discontinued the service days after it was rolled out.

Mr. Musk previously announced that the platform would start charging users $8 per month for its blue verification mark.

Last week, however, the company halted its plans following the emergence of numerous accounts posing as popular users.

In a tweet on Wednesday, Musk said, "Punting is relaunching Blue Verified until November 29 to ensure it's 'rock solid'.

With the new version, Musk said changing a verified name will cause the check mark to be lost until the name is confirmed by Twitter to meet the terms of service.
