The UNILAG alumni association elects a new exco

The University of Lagos Alumni Association has elected a new National Executive Committee who will lead the direction of the association for the next two years.

Ifeoluwa Oyedele was elected president of the association through an electronic voting system on Sunday, December 18, 2022, during the association's annual general meeting held in the region of Ikeja, Lagos State.

According to a press release, Oyedele assured members that the new National Executive Committee under his leadership would maintain the same good standards set by their predecessors.

He said: "As I receive the mantle of UNILAG Alumni leadership around the world, the vision of its founders will challenge me to work with my fellow alumni and strictly adhere to its motto, " In action and in truth".

"I am committed that the new administration will continue in the tradition of transparency and accountability established by our predecessors.

"We will remain your servant by serving with loyalty, dedication and humility at the highest level of integrity. We will uphold the Constitution, Ethos and Ethics of the association. In doing so, we will build an enduring legacy, with the help and collaboration of all key stakeholders.

"In this regard, we will endeavor to continue the execution of all the projects designed by the previous administration."

Others elected for several other roles include; Bala Yesufu, 1st National Vice President; Azuka Azinge, 2nd National Vice President; Adebisi Ogundipe, National Secretary; and Otobong Matthew, Deputy National Secretary.

Mrs. Funmi Falobi, was elected National Publicity Secretary; Francis Shonubi, National Social Secretary; Soni Oghenegare Bobi, National Legal Advisor; Rasul Taiwo, National Finance Secretary; Harris Alade, Treasurer; and Owoeye Abayomi, National Internal Auditor.

In his farewell address, John Momoh urged members to uphold these values ​​that will never go out of style: integrity, character, foresight, skill and dedication.

Momoh has tasked the new National Executive with raising the bar beyond their wildest dreams.
