Dame Vivienne Westwood's death has sparked a flood of tributes from the fashion world, with other designers and models remembering her as a British icon .
Since then, names in the industry and beyond have been remembered as the 81-year-old who went from pioneering punk fashion to mid-1970s dressing some of the biggest stars.
Westwood's admirers span generations, but they all have one thing in common: their admiration for her and the clothes she made.
"She turned swing London into punk London"
Dame Zandra Rhodes, a UK fashion and textile giant, says she was surprised by the news of Westwood's death - particularly because she didn't expect to outlive the creator.
The 82-year-old credits Westwood with "revitalizing street fashion" and transforming it into something "totally different".
"We had flower power...then suddenly you had this very punchy punk," Rhodes said of Westwood's entry into the fashion scene.
