Watch: Barcelona's Ronald Araujo absolutely flushes Antonio Rudiger in El Clasico

Former Chelsea player Antonio Rudiger was thoroughly flushed by Ronald Araujo during last night's friendly between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Barcelona's summer signing Raphinha settled the Clasico with a superb strike in the early stages, which proved to be the game's only goal as Xavi Hernandez's men won 1-0 against Los Blancos reigning European champions.

Another of the contest's most eye-catching moments came when Rudiger was edged out in a thrilling one-on-one battle with Araujo on the wing just after the half hour mark.

The Barcelona defender strode out from behind and saw his opportunity, kicking the ball past Rudiger and burning it at a blistering pace, eventually going all the way to the boundary line and eventually pushing his center.

After all that physical exertion, Araujo got past his cross to send it behind Ansu Fati, but had he found the youngster it could have been a great all-time help.

"We came here to win and we did it. We suffered towards the end of the game but I'm still happy with today's game," Xavi said after the win.

"We were the best team. In Barcelona there are no friendlies. We always want to win, especially against Real Madrid."

23-year-old Uruguay international Araujo proved to be one of Barcelona's most promising players under Xavi last season, and his form has been rewarded with a stellar new contract that runs until 2026 .

A billion-euro release clause is a statement of the value Barcelona place on the defender, who can slot in at centre-back or right-back. Based on this clip, maybe he should go full-time.
