We accused Emefiele in court — DSS
The Department of State Services (DSS) said on Thursday that suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Godwin Emefiele has been arraigned as per the court order.
This was in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja by the spokesperson, Dr Peter Afunnaya
The statement reads: "Following an order of the Abuja High Court today, 13th July 2023, the Department of State Services (DSS) hereby confirms that Mr. Godwin Emefiele was charged in court as per the order.

"The public may recall that the Service in 2022 sought a court order to detain him as part of a criminal investigation.
"While he obtained a restraining order from an FCT high court, the department nonetheless arrested him in June 2023, based on new alleged criminal offenses/information, including one forms the basis of his ongoing lawsuits.< /p>
"The Service assures the public of professionalism, fairness and fairness in the handling of this matter and, indeed, the performance of its duties within the bounds of the law."
