Why I resigned as president of Lagos LP - Salako

A former chairman of the Labor Party in Lagos State, Kayode Salako, who resigned as party chairman in the state on Tuesday, said he had given up the top job to pursue his ambition to contest the seat of Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1 in the House of Representatives.

Salako revealed this on Wednesday hours after handing over the leadership of the party in Lagos to a former deputy state leader, Dayo Ekong, according to a Channels Television report. p>

He said, “We held our legal stakeholders meeting in Lagos yesterday (Tuesday). >

"I am the party's candidate for the seat of the House of Representatives in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1. The election lasts about 40 days and I have to concentrate to face the challenges."
