Yobe: Governor Buni Approves N619 Million for Payment of Pension and Gratuities
Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has approved the sum of N619 million for the payment of gratuities and pension arrears of local government staff.
Mamman Mohammed, Governor Buni's Director General of Press and Media, revealed this in a statement he made available to journalists.
According to the statement, the sum of N169,875,565.11 will be paid to the families of 93 deceased officers, while N449,624,118.61 will be paid to 274 living pensioners.
In another development, Governor Buni approved the placement of 102 paramedic students with a level 05 monthly salary.
Recipients include those studying at B.sc. Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, X-Ray, Nursing and Medical Laboratory Sciences at various universities across the country.
