You are stunned by the popularity of Atiku, PDP responds Tinubu

The Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) has accused All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu of lacking political depth or his ability to engage in productive discourse.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, in a signed statement made available to the Nigerian Tribune on Wednesday in Abuja, said the resounding presentation of PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the coup sending his presidential campaign to Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State on Monday, October 10, 2022 left the APC presidential candidate disoriented “to the point that he can no longer articulate or engage in speech productive and targeted policy".

“Nigerians have again been appalled and sickened by the lack of depth demonstrated by the beleaguered All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as evidenced by his recent statements against other political parties.While Asiwaju Tinubu has proven to Nigerians that he is incapable of a serious presidential speech, it is nonetheless shameful that the APC presidential candidate, facing multiple issues of legitimacy and disqualification, is displaying such emptiness in the public space.

“To emphasize, the PDP is a serious political party that campaigns on issues and we have refrained from commenting on the many personal, health, academic, ancestry and corruption issues facing the presidential candidate of Apparently stunned by the resounding presentation of PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar during the hugely successful kick off of our presidential campaign in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State on Monday, October 10, 2022 , Asiwaju Tinubu has become disoriented to the point that he can no longer articulate or engage in productive, focused political discourse.

"If there is a party that can be described as a 'termite party', of course, it will not be the PDP which is fully 'articulated' and soars with its campaign, but the APC convict who crawls, has become legally crippled and is no longer a legitimate and valid vehicle for fielding candidates in the 2023 general election. This explains why the APC cannot form a Presidential Campaign Council, let alone launch its campaign. Although the APC presidential candidate has humbled himself before Nigerians, the PDP as a proper party will always refrain from commenting on his personal health issues and alleged unhealthy addictions for which he has become the target of a public joke.

"Since procuring the APC post, the APC presidential candidate has made no meaningful comments or contributions to serious national issues, instead indulging in remarks illogical, incoherent and senseless. Our party asks Asiwaju Tinubu to advise himself, to keep his words, to face his many problems of legitimacy and disqualification and to stop ridiculing himself publicly. What is expected of Asiwaju is to apologize to the nation for the woes and suffering inflicted on Nigerians by the mismanagement of the APC which he helped to install and which Nigerians hold personally responsible.

“The APC presidential candidate should come to terms with the fact that Nigerians have moved on with the PDP and Atiku Abubakar as the next president given the focus, integrity, experience, of Atiku Abubakar's ability and willingness to lead the mission of Rescue and Rebuild Nigeria from the monumental failures and misery that the APC represents,” the statement concluded.
