In Song of Songs 7:1-9, Solomon gives a detailed description of his bride, from the sandals on her feet to the hair on top of her head. Some commentators think she might have been dancing in front of him when he compiled this description.

Now you might be thinking that if I was a bride with a thin, flat stomach and looked like him, yes, I would dance in front of my husband. But maybe you're not comfortable with your husband inspecting you from head to toe. Or maybe he's made a remark in the past that makes you feel embarrassed. I realize that it's ingrained in us by our culture (and perhaps also by some past wounds) not to be an "object" in front of a man and to be offended by any reference to your body as a point visual enjoyment for your husband. However, please remember one thing: you are his for life - the only woman your husband can look up to and enjoy with an upright heart before God.

Think about it. If your husband looks at someone else the way God allows him to look at you, he will commit adultery in his heart. So let him feast his eyes on you. Allow him to enjoy what he sees by taking the best care of yourself, dressing well, smelling good, and looking at him with the eyes you once had for him. Maybe when you start looking at him like you once did, he will return that look to you like he once did.
