12 entrepreneurs share what inspires them to become better leaders

While some people are naturally drawn to leadership roles, no one is born a perfect leader. The ability to inspire, motivate and guide a team is built over time, and no matter how many leadership positions someone has held, there is always more to learn.

Often, your daily interactions can inspire you to improve your leadership skills. Here, 12 Young Entrepreneur Council members share the inspirations from their daily lives that inspire them to become better leaders.

1. Have a meaningful impact on people's lives

Being able to have a meaningful and rewarding impact on the lives of others makes me want to go back to work every morning. Every impact, whether it's an employee experiencing a moment of enlightenment, customers reaching their goals with our products, or investors expressing their happiness with our returns, is a step towards the vision and mission of our company that my employees and I work towards. - Liam Leonard, DML Capital

Being someone my employees, family and friends can rely on and look up to means a lot to me. I am inspired and motivated to not only be a better leader, but a better person overall. It allows me to continually strive to be better every day. Making a difference and leaving an impact on the community makes me feel empowered and accomplished. - Fritz Colcol, simply Thalia
