14 ways the Conservatives cheated people with disabilities in 2022 - from Covid to social finance

With the New Year fast approaching, this week is often a time of reflection for many.

What did we achieve this year, what went well, and what can we do better next year? These are all questions we ask ourselves.

Unless of course you are the conservative party.

These morons are so lacking in self-awareness that they probably thought they had done well all year, especially in all things disabled.

So since they won't, I will.

Here's a look back at all the varied and cruel ways the Tories have hurt people with disabilities this year, the worst hits if you will.

Dropping all Covid safety plans as Omicron surged
Instead of reaffirming the need to remain vigilant to protect the most vulnerable, Prime Minister Boris Johnson RIP said people no longer need wear a mask on public transport

The Tories started the year off strong by announcing they would scrap all Covid safety measures, right in the middle of the wreaking havoc Omicron variant.

Instead of reiterating that we must remain vigilant in order to protect the most vulnerable, Prime Minister Boris Johnson RIP (he's not dead but his job as Prime Minister better be, no backsies) said people no longer needed to wear masks on public transport or even stay home if they had Covid.

In February, it did something it had been threatening to do for some time and ended the provision of free lateral flow testing (LFT) preventing low-income people from getting tested at home.

So not only was Covid free to roam without isolation, but people couldn't test either. He really kept his promise "we will lose a lot of loved ones".

Not only that, but since then the government has consistently refused to procure Evusheld, the antibody treatment that many other countries have adopted to protect their most vulnerable citizens.

They have also not made it easier for immunocompromised people to access antiviral treatment and still do not commit to a clean air policy, which has proven effective in combating the spread.

No, they're quite happy to "watch the bodies pile up".

Completely forget about people with disabilities in their upgrading plans
