Mickey Rourke Rejects Acting Jobs Despite Eviction Drama

Mickey Rourke he may be unlucky after almost being expelled from his home …but the Hollywood star isn’t rushing back to work – unless the opportunity presents itself.

Rourke’s manager, Kimberly Hinestells TMZ… last week, he received a flurry of job offers – ranging from independent films and photoshoots to live appearances and signings. In fact, Hines says she’s received six offers for Mickey in the last two days alone…but he’s not interested.

Despite his financial instability, Hines says Mickey is very proud and wants to be paid like a star if he takes a job…on the order of $200,000 a day. He also strives to work with the types of A-list actors and directors he has collaborated with before.

Although the offers haven’t reached the numbers he was looking for, Hines says they are still good opportunities alongside talented people. She believes that if Mickey focuses on quality work, the money will eventually follow.

For now, Mickey is staying in a West Hollywood hotel with his three dogs. Hines says he will leave by the end of the week, after she secures a new apartment for him in Los Angeles. However, if Mickey wants to stay afloat in the long term, he will have to return to work.

As we reported, Mickey made it clear he didn’t want to touch the $100,000. GoFundMe launched to help prevent his expulsion. Hines says the money will be returned to donors, although she adds that Mickey should recognize that people really want to help him.

Hines points out that Mickey still has the talent and stamina to get back “to the top” – but the ball is in his court, and it’s up to him whether he seizes the opportunity.

Bottom line… Hines says the coming week will be crucial for Mickey: he either takes the job and gets back on his feet, or he risks falling into a downward spiral.
