As surprising as it may seem, Super Mario Galaxy movie may have an even deeper degree of Easter eggs than its predecessor. The second trailer for Super Mario Galaxy movie is quite nostalgic, referring to a multitude of popular games, Super Mario Odyssey has Super Mario World.
One of the most intriguing callbacks to the past comes from what it shows of Princess Peach’s upcoming storyline. Apart from the surprising detail that she is going to fight with Birdo, Super Mario Galaxy movie trailer confirms that this sequence will also feature a handful of characters that few expected to play a role in the film.
Super Mario Galaxy Movie Brings Back Mouser From Super Mario Bros. 2
During the teaser of Peach vs. Birdo in the trailera mouse wearing sunglasses can be seen entering the frame next to Peach. This character can be identified as Mouser, one of the six bosses in the 1988 Nintendo classic, Super Mario Bros. 2. In the game, Mouser throws bombs to keep Mario and Luigi away.
Many characters and concepts from this game, including Birdo, have since gained a certain level of popularity and remained somewhat relevant, but this was not the case for Mouser, who received references in later releases. Super Mario but he hasn’t been a boss for years.
His last appearance in the spotlight was in 1989, when he was King Koopa’s henchman during World War II. Super Mario Bros. Great Show!. Now it looks like he’s going to get a much-welcomed revival from The Super Mario Galaxy movie.
As for what he’ll do, that remains to be seen, but his closeness to Peach suggests at least a speaking role for the character, as opposed to a cameo or Easter egg. The return of Mouser is certainly an interesting development, but it could also be a hint towards the return of an even more high-profile character in Super Mario Galaxy movie. It’s worth noting that the setting – combined with the characters featured – makes it seem like Princess Peach will be visiting an area of high influence. Super Mario Bros. 2 influence, which could very well signal an appearance by Wart.
A giant frog-like creature, Wart was the main villain of Super Mario Bros. 2making him superior to Birdo, Clawgrip and Mouser. With all three on hand, it is not unlikely that Wart is there tooperhaps as responsible for this particular world that Peach finds herself in at this point in time. Super Mario Galaxy movie.
