The chaos and controversy surrounding Bad bunnyThe Super Bowl halftime performance did NOT hurt viewership: 128.2 million people watched!
The “DtMF” singer’s numbers were announced Tuesday by NBC, confirming that fans had their TVs stuck to the Super Bowl during halftime to watch Bad Bunny do his thing.
The show had no shortage of star power…with special guests like CardiB, Lady GagaAnd Ricky Martin as part of the show.

Despite strong numbers, it was not the most watched halftime show of all time. In comparison, last year’s halftime performance with Kendrick Lamar attracted a historic 133.5 million viewers across television and digital platforms.
Of course, Bad Bunny’s show had some competition this time around… with Turning Point offering an alternative program featuring Rock Child and others, which were watched by more than 5.1 million people live.
Bad Bunny faced heavy criticism before he even took the stage, with many hitting the NFL for choosing a headliner who performed primarily in Spanish and not English.

The discussions didn’t stop after the show…even the president Donald Trump expressed his anger about the performance… calling it “one of the worst EVER!”
“It makes no sense, it is an affront to the greatness of America and does not represent our standards of achievement, creativity or excellence,” Trump said.

“No one understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially to young children watching all over the United States and around the world.”
But when it comes to numbers, performance tells a different story.
