Tyler Shough made quite an impression not only on Saints fans, but even on their star players…so much so that Cam Jordan tell TMZ Sports he thinks the rookie could be their franchise quarterback.
The New Orleans Saints have been looking for a new signal-caller since Drew Brees retired…. and despite the arrival of callers like James Winston, Andy DaltonAnd Derek Carrthey just haven’t found their man.

Until now, potentially.
The Saints drafted Shough in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and the QB threw for 2,384 passing yards and 13 touchdowns in 11 games…which longtime Saints defensive end Jordan says was a great showcase.
“I think with him there could be a bright future,” Jordan said, “and I hope he can continue to build on the process we demonstrated last year.”

With praise comes a lot of pressure – especially for a young QB – but Jordan believes Shough just has to “keep working, keep proving to everyone who you think you are.”
With the quarterback having some experience under his belt, the 8x Pro Bowler believes the Saints can return to the playoffs, emphasizing that the goal is always to win it all, not just a few games (you’re about to catch a stray, NYJ).

“There’s no one all offseason, like man, I hope we just win three games. I’ll leave that to the Jets.”
