Anna Kepner Half-brother charged with homicide aboard Carnival cruise, family says

Teenager Anna Kepner was killed on a Carnival cruise during a family vacation last November … and now her 16-year-old half-brother has been charged with her homicide, according to court documents.
An emergency filing from last Friday obtained by TMZ indicates her half-brother was charged with homicide as a juvenile in connection with Anna’s killing. death by asphyxiation in his cabin aboard the Carnival Horizon on November 7.

Anna was on vacation in the Caribbean with her father, stepmother and three half-siblings when she died. A housekeeper reportedly discovered Anna’s body under her bed – and the ship returned to Miami, Florida, the next day as the FBI opened an investigation.
In court documents, the legal team of Thomas Hudsonthe half-brother’s father, claims the Kepner family revealed the accusations against their son via social media on February 3. The document states… “According to the Kepner family’s social media… petitioner’s son/father, TH, has been indicted by the United States Attorney in the Southern District of Florida for the [redacted] and the murder of Anna Kepner.”

The emergency filing is part of a custody battle between Hudson and Shauntel Kepnerwho are the parents of Anna’s half-brother. Hudson requested sole custody of Kepner’s other half-brother, identified as BH.
In early February, TMZ reported stepbrother was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service and hauled before a judge for a closed-door hearing in federal court in Miami. The half-brother being considered a minor, his criminal case is closed.
The FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida have not commented publicly on the Kepner case.
