In the tell-all book, she alleges he screamed in her face when she forgot her lines, threw a chair and even punched a hole in the wall of her trailer. While filming the HBO comedy series, he also rose to fame in the “Star Wars” sequel trilogy, where he starred alongside Marguerite Ridley. In light of Dunham’s accusations, Ridley’s comments about working with Driver have resurfaced.
In an interview with V Magazine, Ridley joked that she became Driver’s “best friend” while filming the “Star Wars” sequel trilogy. For the first two films, Ridley played the scavenger Rey, who was only beginning to understand her Force powers. Driver, meanwhile, played the villainous Kylo Ren, son of Han Solo and Princess Leia.
In 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker,” Kylo Ren was redeemed, resumed his identity as Ben Solo and helped Rey defeat Emperor Palpatine. The two shared a kiss before he died and disappeared into the Force.
In the interview, Ridley said: “I mean, as we found out, Adam, we became best friends last year, but we had met a few years before that. It really takes me a while to relax around people. I don’t think I’m very good at meeting people: I feel terribly uncomfortable. So, I find meeting people very stressful.”
The driver replied: “Yes, you always seemed very open, but I feel the same way as you. When I meet people, I don’t really know how to make small talk.”

When asked by Driver what her “favorite part” of filming “Star Wars” was, Ridley revealed that she loved going into the makeup trailer and saying “hello” to everyone before joking, “Becoming best friends with you was the best thing.” »
The driver replied, “That’s a lie, but we’ll make sure it’s printed.” » At the end of the interview, he said, “Very good, thank you, Daisy. I think you’re great.”

How Adam Driver Supported Daisy Ridley on Set
In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, the director of “The Last Jedi” Ryan Johnson revealed that Driver “went the distance” for Ridley by flying to Ireland just to be off-camera for their Force connection scenes.
“Every time we filmed one side of them, the other person was off-camera,” he said. “Even to the point where Adam flew to Ireland just to not be on camera for Daisy’s stuff, which was essential because it’s very intimate conversations.”
“And that also meant that we had to shoot each of those scenes twice, which meant that rehearsal time was really important,” he continued. “And my editor, Bob Ducsay, did an incredible job at that point to make everything feel smoother after the fact.”

While promoting 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker,” the last “Star Wars” film to hit theaters, Ridley said, “I love working with Adam” and had nothing but positive things to say about working with him in an interview with AdoroCinema.
“He’s a phenomenal actor and he’s always so immersed in his character that it’s not difficult to play him,” she said. “In this scene of torture [in Episode VII]everything was very complex. We rehearsed takes for a long time and I remember thinking, “How am I going to get to the same point each time I try?” And Adam was so involved in the scene and gave me so much time…I don’t know if anyone else would have done that.
Daisy Ridley talks filming fight scenes with Adam Driver
Ridley and Driver had choreographed fight scenes in all three films, but Ridley said they still contacted each other.
“We were doing a big fight scene and we were like, ‘Are you okay? Everything is fine ? Is distancing OK?’ There has always been a concern for everyone’s safety and well-being,” she said.
“I had to hit Adam several times,” she recalled. “One time he hit my fingers, but we still finished the scene. And when we finished, my God[[expresses pain]. I even asked for a minute. I thought I had broken my fingers.
His comments stand in stark contrast to some of the allegations Dunham made in his new memoir. In addition to the allegations of violence while filming “Girls,” she also alleges that they almost crossed a line in their relationship, leading him to become engaged to his now-wife, Joanne Tuckera month after the alleged incident.
