Aaron Quinton opened up about finding out that his wife, Margarita DeLeon, was legally married to her ex after he suffered a stroke.
Margarita had been making decisions on his behalf throughout his health issue, but after the revelation came to light, the actor’s family stopped her.
During his recovery journey, Quinton Aaron revealed that he is still unable to walk, but is doing much better than when he was first hospitalized and remains hopeful that he will regain his ability to walk soon.
Quinton Aaron made a shocking discovery about his wife after suffering a stroke

Quinton Aaron joined ABC News for an interview Monday morning, where he spoke about the confusing situation between him and his wife, Margarita.
“The Blind Side” actor had been left unconscious after suffering a critical health crisis in January 2026 involving a stroke that required him to be placed on life support.
However, once he regained consciousness in February, he was greeted with the news that his wife, Margarita, who had been caring for him, was still legally married to her ex-husband, although she had claimed throughout their relationship that she had been divorced for over a decade.
“The whole time we were together, she told me she had been divorced for over 10 years,” Aaron said. “She even told the person we were getting married at, ‘Oh yes, I have all the documents. I can email you the divorce decree.'”
Actor says not caring about his wife was his ‘biggest mistake’

The 41-year-old tied the knot with Margarita in a “spiritual wedding” in December 2024.
While the actor was hospitalized, she was responsible for making important health and financial decisions on his behalf, but after the information came to light, his family restricted her access to him.
“That’s what ultimately led to the doctors removing her from my life,” Aaron said.
He then admitted that he never saw his divorce decree, adding that failing to do due diligence on the situation was his “biggest mistake.”
“If I had the chance to do it again, I would have done my due diligence,” he mused. “I definitely would have done a lot more research.”
Margarita claims she didn’t know her divorce wasn’t finalized
Aaron’s spiritual wife, Margarita, defended her family’s claims, saying ABC News that she didn’t know the divorce was never finalized.
“When I talked to Quinton about it in his hospital bed, and I want to be very honest about it, I felt like it needed to be said and brought to the forefront,” she said.
“I told him, I said, ‘Baby, this information that your family got on me, you know, I didn’t know about it.’ I said, “That’s what I found out.” It’s true,’” Margarita added.
Her ex-husband, Eric Guzman, stood by his claims, telling the outlet that they both thought the divorce happened years ago, but as things turned out that way, he filed for divorce again in February.
The actor remains unable to walk

Aaron’s health is now in better shape than before, but it appears his road to full recovery might take some time.
Noting that he is still immobile, the actor said doctors have explained to him that it could take up to a year before he regains consciousness in his legs, a timeline Aaron rejects.
“Doctors predicted it could take months, a year, even up to a year,” he told the outlet. “I said, ‘I’m not claiming this deadline. I’ll be walking a lot sooner than you think.’ That’s exactly what I believe.
He added: “It’s like that, you know, between me and my faith and my relationship with God. »
Quintin Aaron regrets not having listened to his body

The actor admitted he regrets not taking care of himself sooner than now, highlighting how he ignored the warning signs.
“I started paying attention to my body because I found over the years that it spoke to me in a very disrespectful way and I ignored it,” Aaron said.
Reports suggest he is currently undergoing physical therapy at an Atlanta hospital, where he is working to regain his ability to walk.
“He is in therapy every day, three hours a day,” Dr. Nithin Devireddy, medical director of the hospital where Aaron is recovering, told the news outlet. “It’s the gold standard for all inpatient rehabilitation facilities.”
