Jennifer Lopez reportedly thinking about her separation from her ex-husband Ben Affleck after his recent gesture.
The singer and actor have since settled their divorce, but have been unable to sell their expensive Beverly Hills property.
The long search for a buyer apparently prompted Ben Affleck to offer Jennifer Lopez his share of the marital home, with sources now saying the move left a strong impression on the pop star.

The latter may not have been heard about the love story between Lopez and Affleck, even though they are no longer together. The couple tied the knot in a surprise Vegas wedding in July 2022, after getting together a few years earlier.
They continued to enjoy marital bliss until mid-2024, when rumors began circulating that their marriage had broken down after several months of not being photographed together.
The “Hustlers” actress ultimately filed for divorce in August of that year, listing their separation date as April 26, 2024. Their divorce was settled in January 2025, but their $60 million Beverly Hills estate, which they purchased to house their blended family, remained a point of contention as they failed to find buyers.
Just recently, Affleck left his stake in the property to her, seeking a clean break and an end to anything between them. However, the move apparently left an impression on Lopez, who now appears to be “hopeful” that she can work things out.
A source said Star Magazine she “can’t help but see this as proof that he’s the good guy she fell in love with, and she hopes again that somehow they can work things out.”

While Lopez would think there’s still hope for them to work things out, Affleck wants everything to be settled.
Reports suggest that he was not trying to be charitable by doing this, but simply wanted to get out of a boring situation.
“He feels like this will absolve him of how he messed with his head. [during their marriage]. But that’s typical of Ben: He tries to avoid drama and only creates more drama,” the source noted to the magazine of Affleck’s latest move.

Meanwhile, a source who earlier spoke to Rob Shuter’s #ShutterScoop said the “Accoutant 2” actor wanted to walk away and never have to deal with her again.
“He’s not the one giving anything,” a close source told the reporter. “He’s the one paying to get this done. This house is the last tie, and he wants it gone quickly.”
“He would pay anything at this point,” the source explained. “Because peace of mind is worth more than money. Ben isn’t acting out of kindness, he’s making a smart decision for himself. He wants a clean, absolute break, and this is the quickest way to get there.”

Since their divorce, the two stars have been photographed making several appearances together, especially since their children remain close.
They managed to maintain a cordial relationship after going through a rather peaceful split and division of assets.
However, things may struggle to escalate beyond what they currently are, as one source said. Star Magazine in February, Affleck is apparently “immune to love” and is no longer looking for a long-term partnership.
“He’s not looking for a relationship,” the source said. “He has room in his life for flings and no-strings-attached hookups, and he meets them on elite dating apps or through friends.”
Instead, he’s focused on growing his business with his friend Matt Damon and also taking care of his children, Violet, Fin and Samuel, whom he shares with his ex Jennifer Garner.
“He has enough on his plate with his job and his kids,” the source continued. “He has his eyes on the real prize, not the next hot actress who catches his eye.”

Lopez has faced romance rumors with her “Office Romance” co-star Brett Goldstein following their on-screen chemistry in the upcoming romantic comedy. Although they never confirmed it, a source said their relationship wasn’t “serious” and that she only saw it as a “rebound.”
The insider who spoke to Magazine In Contact added that the “Jenny From The Block” singer had fun with him and only thought of him as a “really sweet guy.”
“From the start, she saw it as a rebound,” they say.
The two reportedly grew close while filming the series and were linked after being photographed holding hands. The source added that while the actor would have “liked their relationship to go further,” he wouldn’t have “checked all the boxes” for her.
“She is someone who has a very clear vision for her life, she knows what it takes for a man to maintain his long-term interest, and she doesn’t want to set anyone up for failure,” they added.
The source went further, adding that Lopez would want her next man to “match her ex in every way,” but as great as Goldstein is, “he doesn’t hit the mark.”
