This month of September marks the 60th anniversary of Star Trek. As part of a year-long celebration of the beloved sci-fi series, Paramount and IDW announced Star Trek: The 60th Anniversary Special, an oversized comic book coming later this year. A ton of writers are involved, including David Gerrold, who worked on the original TV series and wrote the episode that brought us these adorable little fluffy aliens known as Tribbles.
THE 60th anniversary comic is a 68-page anthology that will be released on September 2, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Writers involved in the project include Miles Morales co-creator Brian Michael Bendis, Lower decks showrunner Mike McMahan, Squirrel girl And Lost at random writer Ryan North and comedian and writer Dana Gould.
But the most interesting person involved in this massive comic is David Gerrold, who is one of the last survivors. Star Trek writers of original series. Its history will involve the famous Star Trek the crook, Harry Mudd.
