Thundering On (5/1) and Dylan Browne McMonagle landed the Group 1 Betfred Oaks at Epsom on Friday afternoon.
It is a second British classic training success for successful handler Joseph O’Brien, who previously won the Betfred St Leger with Galileo Gold.
The second English Classic of the season saw nine fillies start – four of them trained by an O’Brien, one by Joseph and three by his father Aidan.

Ballydoyle Stable jockey Ryan Moore’s choice Amelia Earhart (7/4f) was the race favourite, with Legacy Link (3/1), ridden by Colin Keane, the bookmakers’ second choice.
Sugar Island (25/1) and Ronan Whelan set the early pace, followed closely by stablemate Cameo (7/1), the mount of last season’s Epsom Derby-winning runner Wayne Lordan.
The eventual winner, Thundering On, was at the back of the field for much of the one mile four furlong race.
Once in the final stretch, Frankel’s chestnut daughter, out of Thundering Nights, hit the side rail of the stands alone.

Colin Keane, flying the colors of Juddmonte Farms aboard Legacy Link, posed the biggest danger to the Salsabil Stakes winner.
Despite facing a strong challenge from Dubawi’s filly Legacy Link, Thundering On held on comfortably for a three and three quarter length victory to give Donegal rider McMonagle a first British classic success.
The Legacy Link conditioned by John and Thady Gosden took second place ahead of the Ballydoyle trio’s outsider, Sugar Island (25/1).
Race favorites Amelia Earhart and Ryan Moore finished sixth.
