As if Taylor Swift’s wedding and the nation’s 250th birthday weren’t reason enough to celebrate, Beyoncé gives fans an excuse to be drunk with love.
The superstar released a surprise new single on Saturday, “Morning Dew (Donk)” — his first new music since releasing his Grammy-winning “Act II: Cowboy Carter” in 2024. The track also serves as a countdown: It kicks off 60 days before the 20th anniversary re-release of his 2006 album “B’Day,” which arrives Sept. 4 — also his birthday.
Beyoncé hasn’t confirmed it, but fans are widely expecting a third album to complete the “Act” trilogy that she began with the 2022 disco and house homage “Renaissance” and continued with the country “Cowboy Carter.” Speculation has considered “Act III” to be a rock record – a theory fueled by her Halloween costume as rocker Betty Davis.
“Morning Dew” is now streaming on all major platforms.
