Tipperary rider Denis Lynch claimed two victories at the Valkenswaard Arena in the Netherlands this weekend.
Lynch, riding Katja, an 11-year-old KWPN mare, produced a fast and faultless ride to win the Big Tour CSI2* 1.45m event. The suit stopped the clock in 58.15 seconds.
The fifty-year-old, riding the eight-year-old Westphalian stallion Cornet Gold, also won the CSI1* 1.35 m time trial event.
With a lightning-fast, smooth ride over the jumps, they stopped the clock at 67.27 seconds – a dominant performance that no other combination could match.
Lynch, who remains a fixture at the highest level of international show jumping, now has more than 4,700 international starts and 223 career victories.
