Justin Baldoni fight back Blake Livelyis asking to pay a seven-figure sum to cover his legal fees in their “It Ends With Us” battle… TMZ has learned.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Baldoni and his Wayfarer team argue that the amount Lively is seeking is grossly overinflated. They claim Blake failed to present credible evidence showing she is entitled to the fees and are asking the judge to categorically deny her request.

The motion, filed by the lawyer Bryan Freedmanstates… “Lively’s fee request is so excessive that it results in costs seeking her own liability for perjury arising from her California CRD claim and Rule 11 motion for which the Court has already denied fees!”

In the alternative, Baldoni argues that if the judge awards fees, the amount should be reduced from more than $8 million to a six-figure sum.
The filing contends that Lively is trying to charge Baldoni for legal work that goes well beyond defending her defamation suit, calling her claim inflated and unsupported.

A source close to Blake told TMZ… Their argument that the fees would only be recoverable in a “defamation claim” is completely at odds with the statutory language. The law talks about “successful defense of the dispute” not “claim” and they don’t address that at all in their opposition, because they know they are wrong.
Blake’s source also tells us that the cases were grouped together by the judge, which they do not dispute.

As TMZ previously reported, Blake is while searching more than 8 million dollars after a judge rejected Baldoni filed a $400 million defamation lawsuit and ruled that she was entitled to recover attorney’s fees related to the dismissal of that claim. Fee dispute comes after Blake and Justin ruler the remainder of their years-long legal battle in May, avoiding trial over his latest breach of contract and retaliation claims.
