Flight JL331 from Japan Airlines was scheduled to take off on a two-hour domestic flight from Tokyo's Haneda Airport to Fukuoka.
But after departure, the plane was been forced to return to Tokyo after a seven-hour round trip that saw them nearly reach their final destination - only to be told to turn back.
Flight JL331 was scheduled to take off from Haneda at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, with an expected 8:30 p.m. landing in Fukuoka.
