April is the time when the world wakes up. Warmer days, longer evenings, a change in what we want to wear and how we want to spend our time: everything is changing. I grab my favorite linen pieces when I get dressed in the morning and make space on my calendar for activities that energize me and keep me going.
This month’s editors’ picks are rooted in that sentiment. Pieces that make it easier for us to dress in hot weather (spring fashion trends here), beauty and well-being essentials that support a sunny glowand finds for the home that make us want to let the light in. Think of it as a bridge to summer: simple improvements that help you approach the months ahead feeling light, confident, and completely at ease.

My everyday t-shirt, perfected
The fabric of this t-shirt is next level soft and the fit is truly perfect: easy, flattering and never too tight or boxy. I wear mine all the time: layered under everything, for working out, even for sleeping, and somehow it does it all. It’s one of those effortless must-haves that you reach for daily and can’t live without. – Anna Decker, Social Media and E-Commerce Manager

The chicest finishing touch for summer
It is one of these bags it’s just do your outfit – it has that simple French girl charm that seems elevated but still totally relaxed. The woven raffia and leather details give it a really nice texture, and it goes with everything from linen dresses to denim. It’s the kind of piece you’ll wear all summer long and never get tired of. – Camille Styles, editor-in-chief

The rug that defined my apartment
Living in a small, open-plan apartment means I’m always looking for ways to create small, distinct areas. Rugs are the easiest way to achieve this, and this burgundy/pink wool rug instantly anchored my dining room. Color adds warmth without overwhelming the room, and texture makes the space look layered and intentional. Bonus: my cats have completely claimed it as their favorite hangout spot. – Isabelle Eyman, editorial strategist

Dessert plates I can’t wait to feature
I decided to add some charm to my kitchen this spring and want to add a plate wall. I fell in love with these darlings dessert pleaseitems from Rifle Paper’s new Home Sweet Home collection, and I can’t wait to display them! – Kristen Garaffo, editor-in-chief

My favorite way to brew coffee at home
As I type this while I enjoy a cup of coffee I made with my Sage green palmpress. This thing was a game changer for me, a coffee lover. It’s a cross between a French press and a pour-over: a simple, power-free device can brew anything from a simple cup to an espresso. I’m not ready to invest in an espresso machine yet, so I’ll just use the Palmpress to make a shot, add some milk froth and it’s a cappuccino that’s on par with my local coffee shop. I even ground some beans and carried it all with me in my purse – just add hot water. – Brittany Chatburn, Marketing Director

The protein shortcut I’m in right now
As a huge fan of Elmhurst and their line of nut milks (especially the nut milk, I’m obsessed), I was so excited to find their new protein double. The ingredient list is amazing, the flavor is so good and I love that they are the perfect grab-and-go option when I go to the gym. Plus, I may have turned a few of my drinks into a protein ice cream with my Ninja Creami, and let’s just say: hitting my protein goals has never been easier. – Suruchi Avasthi, food editor and photographer

The Supplement That Made Me Better at Drinking Water
I’ve always had trouble drinking enough water. Recently, I started combining my water intake with my supplement routine by adding the Imbibe Beauty Renewal Supplementnot to my water in the morning, and I saw a huge difference. It tastes amazing (thanks to the elderberry, pomegranate, and coconut water which provide antioxidants as well as a subtle flavor!), so I end up drinking a lot more water. Plus, it’s great for gut health (which is highly linked to glowing skin!), preventing breakouts and keeping skin hydrated. I really notice a difference when I skip it for a few days in a row. – Langa Chinyoka, beauty editor
My go-to protein bar for busy days
I finally found a protein bar that ticks all the boxes and actually tastes GOOD. It contains almost 15 grams of protein, including collagen!, and contains no strange ingredients. I love that they are sweetened with honey (and without anything artificial or chemical). My favorite flavor is chocolate chip birthday cakebut you can’t go wrong with any of these bars. They are so delicious! I always have a Stars + Honey bar in my bag, either for me or for my boys who love them too. – Edie Horstman, Wellness Editor

The serum that gives me my “no makeup” glow
I used this serum morning and night for the past few months, and it’s become one of those products I don’t want to be without. It gives my skin an immediate, natural glow: no shine, no sticky feeling, just a healthy, lit-from-within look. Over time, I also noticed that my skin tone looked more even. On days when I skip makeup altogether, this is the product that always makes me feel polished. – Isabelle Eyman, editorial strategist
My Shortcut to Feeling Instantly Put in Place
This Salt and Stone scented mist smells so clean and effortless – a bit woodsy, with saffron, jasmine and cedarwood giving it an elevated, easy-to-wear everyday feel. I get compliments on this all the time and I love that it’s one of those rare scents that seems really lingering. It’s versatile, refined, and the kind of finishing touch that makes you feel instantly pulled together. – Tatom Hoffmann, marketing intern

A self-tanner that smells really good
I love fake tan, but I don’t like the smell. (IYKYK.) I decided to try Unfiltered Luxered, a brand new to me that has a variety of scented lotions, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it has no tan smell. I have the Rosewood perfume and it smells amazing. Not to mention I tan perfectly every time I use it. I can’t wait to use it this summer! – Kristen Garaffo, editor-in-chief

An economical solution for sleepy eyes
I started using the RoC Derm Correxion Retinol Eye Repair Dark Circles Treatment Cream with niacinamide when my eyes seemed particularly tired, and this has been such a solid and affordable find. It’s one of those easy staples that works in the background of your routine but really makes a difference. – Anna Decker, Head of Social Media and E-Commerce
A hand soap that has earned a place in every room
This may be one of my more indulgent purchases recently, but the amount of joy this hand soap what it has given me is incredible. The scent is super refreshing, and with its exfoliating and hydrating benefits, this soap is truly versatile in my kitchen and bathroom. – Suruchi Avasthi, food editor and photographer

A gentle serum with serious results
Meet my new favorite milk for the skin. I love milky serums for my skin (I find they are more shelf stable and pill less than gels) and this one delivers results in both texture and pigment. I’m very picky about products that claim to help remove dark spots (most don’t…), but this one has all the magic ingredients: tranexamic acid, alpha-arbutin, and niacinamide. – Langa Chinyoka, beauty editor
In our routines
Improving sleep to which I am fully committed
This year, I’m in my “sleep is the ultimate luxury” era: earlier nights, no blue light after 9 a.m., and anything that makes bedtime feel like a ritual rather than a routine. This silk sleep mask has become my favorite part of relaxing. It’s plush, soft as a cloud, and truly blackout, which makes a surprising difference in how deeply I sleep. Plus, the mulberry silk feels like a little skin treatment that goes on while I rest. – Isabelle Eyman, editorial strategist
What I read recently
My reading pile this month has been a mix of ambition, reflection, and a little escapism. Bootstrap Empire by Natalie Holloway (co-founder and CEO of bala) explores the mindset behind building something from nothing, while How to live a meaningful life offers surprisingly practical wisdom for designing a life that truly feels aligned. Tara Narula The Healing Power of Resilience is a thoughtful reminder of our real capacity to adapt, and The found objects society by Michelle Maryk delivered the immersive fiction I always crave at the end of the day. It’s the kind of month of reading that makes you pause and reconsider what where you want your life to look like. – Isabelle Eyman, ed. editorial strategist
