Sydney Sweeney “The Devil Wears Prada 2” Cameo Didn’t Make the Final Point
Published

Sydney Sweeney may be one of the hottest names in Hollywood…but even she’s not safe from the cutting room floor.
The ‘Euphoria’ star filmed an appearance for ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’…only for her scene to receive the ax before the film’s release, according to Weekly Entertainment.

Sydney was to appear as herself in a fast-paced, fashion-heavy moment involving Emilie Bluntthe character. The scene would have centered around a high-end style situation tied to Dior… very much in line with the brand’s shiny, couture-infused world of Prada.
But despite the star power, the filmmakers ultimately decided that the cameo didn’t quite fit with how the film ultimately played out…and cut it during editing.
This decision might surprise fans, especially after Sydney was spotted around the filming of the sequel during production – sparking buzz she would make a notable appearance in the long-awaited sequel to the 2006 classic.
Still, insiders say the decision wasn’t personal…just one of those Hollywood realities where even the big names don’t always make the final cut.
The sequel itself is stacked, with the return of heavy hitters including Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci and Blunt reprising all their iconic roles…alongside a whole new batch of new faces and rumored cameos.
No word yet on whether the Sydney scene might resurface in a deleted scene package or extended edit… but for now, her Prada moment is strictly a behind-the-scenes story.
“Prada 2” hits theaters on May 1…just without one of Gen Z’s biggest stars.
