Black Widow is available now, but why isn’t it on Disney+ Hotstar?

Black Widow releases on July 9 on Disney+ with Premier Access, but not on Disney+ Hotstar, where it is not expected until October 8. This is due to the failures of video-on-demand in India, Disney’s insistence on theaters first even at the height of COVID-19, and its reluctance to take bold bets like HBO Max.
