At the end of each day, we can do nothing better than bring to Him everything we experienced during the day. Praying before going to bed helps us let go of our worries and worries.
Perhaps many times we are so tired or busy that we even forget to thank God for the way He has faithfully worked in our lives and in those we love. Or, we often find that it’s difficult to completely let go of our burdens, so we carry worries and stress straight to bed with us. We hold on to hurts and hurt feelings. We struggle to sleep, but we can’t stop the whirling thoughts of to-do lists, calendars, and what we still have to do for tomorrow.
The very presence of God and the truth of His word are the only things that can bring deep peace to our souls. The peace He gives is the kind of peace the world cannot provide, the kind of peace that makes no sense even in our own eyes. May He remind you right now that you are never alone, that He knows your way, and that He has a plan. He is there with you, now and in all your tomorrows as well.
Come to Him with your problems. May God lift every burden of anxiety from your shoulders. Where you have been filled with doubt, may He replace it with faith. Where you have been filled with racing thoughts, may He replace them with calm.
Whatever is pressing on our minds and hearts tonight, may God give us the strength to let it go and fill us with His peace.
We can rest assured, knowing and believing that He has everything in His hands.

1. Release your anxieties to Him.
“Take all your anxiety out on him because he cares about you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
My God,
We come before you and we thank you for this day and everything it has brought us, the good things as well as the difficult ones. Sometimes, after a day full of pressure and stress, our hearts are heavy with everything we still carry. Thank you because in all of this you have reminded us once again how much you love us and are always with us. We pray that you will help us leave all our cares and worries with you right now. May your power and rest fill us with freshness. May the presence of your Spirit breathe hope into the depths of our souls, even while we sleep.

2. Pray that God brings you His perfect peace.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
We thank you, God the Father, for your word which reminds us that you never sleep. You always watch over us and your great care constantly covers our home and our family. We ask that your mighty power surround us. We ask that You will remove any fear or anxious thoughts this evening, and bring Your perfect peace, the peace that goes far beyond our own understanding, to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We lay each of our burdens before you, for we know they are far safer in your hands than ours.

3. Pray for rest and refreshment of your mind.
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar up on wings like eagles, they will run and not be faint, they will walk and not be weary.” (Isaiah 40:31)
Dear Lord,
It’s been a long day. I feel battle-weary, exhausted, and I can’t stop my mind from repeating all of today’s circumstances. Could you please help me to rest in you and stop overthinking every situation. You already know the answers to all the problems and difficulties I face, you already know my path and you have a plan worked out. Thank you for your great Sovereignty and your presence at my side. So, as I close my eyes tonight, could you please calm my heart, calm my racing thoughts, and remind me that you have this thing that’s on my mind right now. Renew me with your strength as I sleep, fill me with the wisdom and understanding of your Spirit for every decision I face tomorrow. I choose to place my hope and trust in you, God the Father. I believe that You will give me everything I need to run this race of life again tomorrow, in Your power and grace.

4. Entrust your loved ones to God.
“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
Father God, we pray for all those we love, our family, our friends, and we ask that you show each of them your great love and care in amazing ways. We thank you Lord, that nothing is too big or too small for you to worry about. You know everything about us and you remind us that you are fighting for us, even while we sleep, even in ways we don’t always see. We love you and we are so grateful for your promise to always be with us. We bring you all these things, and thank you for being at work and responding even now, while we close our eyes and sleep in your peace.

5. Pray for God’s provision and direction.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will make your paths straight. » (Proverbs 3:5-6)
My God,
We ask that you provide for us even while we sleep. When money seems tight and budgets don’t seem to work on paper, remind us that you’re not limited by what we can see. When we feel like we are facing dead ends and obstacles, would you remind us once again that you are far greater than any obstacles we may face. We pray for your immense grace and favor upon our lives and those of our loved ones. We pray that even when we don’t know it, you will open the gates, clear the paths, close the bad roads, and prepare our path for tomorrow. We ask that your blessings cover us, that every plan you have birthed in our hearts will succeed at the right time. Help us to trust you when the path seems unclear, help us to hear your voice clearly and see your ways unfold before us.

6. Rest in God’s forgiveness and renewal.
“Thanks to the great love of the Lord, we are not consumed, for his mercies never cease. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23)
Forgive us, God, for the times we missed the mark today. Forgive us for the times we have tried to do things on our own, getting distracted too easily or forgetting our need for you. Forgive us for letting fear and impatience control us, or for allowing pride and selfishness to dictate our choices. Forgive us for not following your ways or being too busy to spend time in your presence. We recognize, once again, how much we need you and we want to walk closer with you. Please purify our hearts and renew our minds in You, as we put all this to rest, and try again tomorrow. We thank you for you are a God of new beginnings and your compassions are new every morning.

7. Ask God to fill your sleep with healing and rest.
“…for he gives sleep to his beloved.” (Psalm 127:2)
My God,
I feel like I gave everyone around me the whole day. The needs are often so great and the time seems too short to do everything I need to do. Thank you Lord, for the refreshing of your Spirit, for only you can fill us again and restore our souls even while we sleep. I ask you, when the hours seem too short, when bedtime is late and the alarm clock comes early, to increase the hours of sleep to help us feel strengthened and renewed for tomorrow. We ask that your peace, healing, comfort, mercy, and goodness surround our home and be extended to all we love. Thank you for your great care towards us.

8. Pray for faith in the face of fear.
“He who dwells under the protection of the Most High will dwell in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord: ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust!’ He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge…” (Psalm 91:1-2, 4)
Dear Lord,
We believe that you are close and that your protection is more powerful than we could ever imagine. Thank you for constantly reminding us that we should never be afraid, day or night. So we choose to trust you now, we choose faith over fear, as we bow our heads to sleep. We need the peace and security that only you can give us to soothe our hearts and minds. 9. Allow Him to receive your hurt.
“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in security. » (Psalm 4:8)
Dear Lord,
We are suffering. Thank you because we are never invisible to you, but you see everything and you understand. This pain we carry is too great. Uncertainty about the future can easily fill our minds with fear and create enormous worry in our hearts. Please remove this burden so that we can sleep peacefully under your care. We thank you for being close and always with us. We pray for your healing and be immense grace to encircle us like never before. We ask for your angels of protection and comfort to surround us in the night. Thank you for being our Redeemer and you will never lose this painful time.

10. Pray for hope and peace, remembering His promises.
“The LORD is my shepherd; I will lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. My God,
We thank you because your promises are true and your words bring hope and peace. We answer these words to you now and we ask you to help us sleep soundly under your care. Thank you for you are our shepherd and you will provide everything we need. Thank you for bringing peace and calm, even in the midst of difficult times, and you faithfully lead us to places of safety under your protecting hand. We know that we never have to fear, because you are always with us. Thank you that kindness and love follow us every day of our lives, and we will remain with you forever.
