“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Crystal Kung Minkoff has really come into its own since she left the show. Not only is she showing more of her personality on her podcast, but she’s also been more open about her time on the show. However, the former “RHOBH” star recently became vulnerable when she opened up about her recent high blood pressure issue and her conversation with a doctor.
Crystal Kung-Minkoff has suffered from high blood pressure for some time

Minkoff appeared on her podcast “Humble Brag,” which she co-hosts with the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Cynthia Baileyon April 27 to talk about his recent health complication. Namely, she had gone to the doctor after suffering from high blood pressure for a while.
The 43-year-old said: “I was late getting here because I was at my doctor’s office. My blood pressure was really high this week. We talked about it a few weeks ago because now she’s conscious.” She then shared that upon checking, her blood pressure was 160 over 110, which is much higher than normal.
Minkoff went on to say she wondered if she was “in the realm of a stroke,” noting that “they call it the silent killer.” When describing her symptoms, the “RHOBH” alum said she felt “constant pressure” on her chest.
The ‘RHOBH’ Star Was Told to Exercise

Minkoff continued to discuss his health complications and his visit to the doctor. According to her, “We took my blood pressure when I arrived. He told me, ‘Your heart rate is very low.’
The mother-of-two added: “We’ve doubled my medication. He says: ’80 per cent is definitely hereditary, but the 20 per cent is all the little adjustments I can make.’
From there, she shared that her doctor said she needed to exercise more. Minkoff said, “He said, ‘You’re not exercising enough.’ » For women – especially because I was talking about weight – I’m less interested in men’s weights. Women need to do strength training because we lose muscle very quickly as we age.
She then discussed the workout plan suggested by her doctor. According to the “RHOBH” alum, “He wants me to exercise five days or five hours a week. He said, ‘You’re 43. Hiking isn’t enough to get your heart working.'”
Minkoff continued: “He says, ‘You have to get to a point where it becomes a mental thing for you.’ I need to feel like I should exercise, otherwise I don’t feel mentally healthy.
This isn’t the first time Crystal has spoken out about her health

Minkoff appeared on “RHOBH” for three seasons before its release. During her final season on the show, she experienced a medical emergency while traveling in Spain. According to US Weekly, the group was in a vehicle when she told them, “I’m getting really sick, guys. You guys, it’s hard for me right now.”
After a while, they stopped the vehicle so Minkoff could try to feel better after experiencing “motion sickness.” Back at the car, she said, “Oh, my God, Garcelle, look at my veins, they’re standing out,” raising her arms.
In a confessional, she said: “My family history includes a history of high blood pressure. [and] hypertension, and it’s something I know I’ve struggled with, but I didn’t realize it could get to this point. It was so scary. …I was never confronted with my mortality.
Crystal left ‘RHOBH’ in 2024

Minkoff joined “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” for the show’s 11th season in 2021. Although she never became a fan favorite, she felt a sense of disappointment when she announced in 2024 that she would not return to the show.
According to Deadline, she said in an Instagram video: “I just wanted to share the news that I will not be returning to film season 14 of ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.’ It’s very bittersweet. I never would have thought in a million years that I would have been asked to do this show – let alone film it for three seasons.
She later said, “Every year I was asked to come back, it was a blessing. It was an honor. Being the first Asian American in ‘Beverly Hills’ was a lot of weight on my shoulders and since then I’ve really understood the magnitude of what that means to people.”
“Humble Brag” launched in 2024
