Frozen pizzas sold at Walmart and Aldi are being recalled due to concerns they may be contaminated with salmonella, as well as other items.
On April 30, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Services issued a public health alert regarding meat and poultry products containing FDA-regulated ingredients that may be contaminated with Salmonella.
Customers who purchased the recalled products are urged not to consume them, even if thoroughly cooked, due to concerns about foodborne bacteria.

“The health and safety of our customers is always a top priority,” a Walmart spokesperson told FOX Business. “We have issued a sales restriction and removed this product from our affected stores. We are working with the supplier to investigate.”
The products contain powdered milk powder that was recalled and was used to make frozen pizza and pork rinds, the FDA said. No confirmed cases of illness or adverse reactions have been reported due to consumption of the recalled products, the agency said.

Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, headache, loss of appetite, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. CDC considers Salmonella causes approximately 1.35 million infections in the United States each year.
