Jamie Kennedy slams Mark Hamill for Donald Trump’s AI photo

Actor Marc Hamillbest known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the “Star Wars” franchise, is angered by Jamie Kennedy after sharing an AI-generated photo of the US president Donald Trump in a grave. Although the actor apologized after facing backlash from the White House, many expressed disappointment with Hamill’s actions on social media.

In early May, the actor shared an AI-generated image on Bluesky that showed Trump lying in a shallow grave. The dates on the headstone are 1946-2024.

Hamill captioned the post: “If only – he would live long enough to witness his inevitable devastating midterm loss, be held accountable for his unprecedented corruption, impeached, convicted and humiliated for his countless crimes. »

“Long enough to realize that he will forever be dishonored in the history books,” he added. White House spokesperson Davis Ingle responded to the post, calling it “a deranged lunatic,” as The Blast previously reported.

The “Life of Chuck” actor then attempted to apologize, but it seemed ironic, since he shared his message alongside another photo of Trump with a scandalous hairstyle.

“Specific edit for clarity: ‘He should live long enough to…be held accountable for his…crimes,'” he wrote. “I actually wished him the opposite of death, but apologies if you found the image inappropriate.”

The apology failed to quell the online storm, especially after Jamie Kennedy called him out for his comments.

In an episode of his podcast “Hate To Break It To Ya,” Jamie Kennedy blasted Mark Hamill for posting the AI-generated image of Trump depicting him in a shallow grave.

“It’s insane. It’s brain rot that goes beyond that,” Kennedy said. “It’s crazy. Luke Skywalker has lost his mind, man. You’re like a big voice in the world, and you’re promoting it. Like, what’s wrong with you?”

He went on to say, “You can call this guy whatever you want, but he’s the elected leader, so clearly he’s legally a member, and he won, and he’s the elected leader,” Kennedy continued, calling Hamill’s post “irresponsible” and “evil.”

As most fans know, the character of Luke Skywalker met his end at the end of 2017’s “The Last Jedi.” At the moment, it’s unclear where the franchise is headed. The recently released film “The Mandalorian and Grogu” takes place before the events of the sequel trilogy, in a time when Luke Skywalker was still alive. However, Hamill believes that the franchise should focus on new characters.

“I’m very grateful to George for allowing me to be a part of that time, the humble days when George called Star Wars “the most expensive low-budget movie ever made,” he told ComicBook in 2025. “We didn’t expect it to become a permanent franchise and become part of pop culture like that. But my deal is that I had my time. I appreciate that, but I think they should focus on the future and all the new characters. “

The Skywalker Saga seemed to end with 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker.” Luke Skywalker apparently had no children. Leia Organa, Darth Vader’s daughter, had a son with Han Solo – Kylo Ren/Ben Solo – but he died at the end of the film. Although Rey was called “Rey Skywalker” at the end of the film and was determined to be the daughter of a Palpatine clone, she is not a Skywalker by blood and, therefore, it appears that the lineage has officially ended.

“My character was completely closed off,” Hamill said in an interview with TODAYnoting that the end of his story “felt like a conclusion.”

Yet the journey to a galaxy far, far away will continue with “Star Wars: Starfighter,” scheduled to hit theaters in May 2027. The film features an A-list cast including Ryan Gosling, Mia Goth, Flynn Gray, Matt Smith and Amy Adams.
